I'm the owner of the Etsy shop novelsnob.etsy.com and the Instagram account under the same name.
I love all kinds of fiber arts. Crochet, embroidery, sewing and so on. In the last year I have experimented with all kinds of supplies and materials.
Originally I am an oil painter but since severe allergies got the better of me, I am no longer able to paint with any kind of paint. The closest thing I could find to painting, without it feeling inferior to it (like drawing) was embroidery. I never draw anymore it reminds me to much of making sketches for a painting...
After a interior designer asked me if I could make crochet flowers, the whole crochet part of my work spun a bit out of control. After the flowers, came leaves, and after the leaves came animals. By spending so much time crocheting I really got into the tools of the trade. Since my hands began hurting from crocheting so much, I was looking for all kinds of ergonomic hooks. It was quite fun to have a lot of different crochet hooks, not only for the sake of my hands but just because... well, we all like to have our toys right.

After a while I started "collecting" all kinds of tools and supplies and this is why I started my Etsy store, to share these amazing and unique supplies with the rest of you, who have the same passion for fiber arts as me.
I started this small business out of my own obsession with the materials and tools you need to create beautiful things. My focus is on all things handwork: crochet hooks, embroidery, zipper bags to keep all of your tools and materials and tote bags to cary your projects everywhere you go. I also like finding special tools that you don't see every day.
At the moment my shop is mostly supplies but In future I would like to introduce handmade items like zipper bags and crochet hook rolls, maybe a kind of work apron for those who paint or wood carve.
Now about my vision for this blog, I am going to write about the things I do and make. A little bit like my Instagram but with more words obviously. The things that keep me busy, ideas, struggles, projects, weird stuff I buy on the internet and so on. I might write some blog posts about my multiple chemical sensitivity and fibromyalgia, I feel there are more of you out there with the same kind of struggles that could benefit from some helpful tips. And sometimes it is nice to know you are not alone in this right?
So with these thoughts I'll wrap up the first post. I wish you all a nice week and like always,
Happy creating!
